About me

I am a former P/A who loves to write Historical and Dual-timeline novels. I live in Sussex on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, and write interesting stories full of mystery and intrigue by weaving secrets of the past with the present. The writing process is a fascinating experience for me. As I create the characters and watch them come alive on the page, I lose myself in their world. These unfolding adventures continue to inspire me in the creative process.
Reading and dabbling in portrait painting are my other passions, with the odd glass of Gin and Tonic thrown in. I also love singing with my local Rock Choir and learning new skills. I am currently learning to play the drums, which is proving to be interesting.
My first book, Bird in a Gilded Cage, is a historical drama set against the backdrop of the Suffragette movement. My second novel The Amethyst Necklace is dual-timeline and set in Brighton during WW2, and was released in December 2020. The sequel to The Amethyst Necklace entitled Scarlett’s Story, was published in June 2021.
The Man in the Painting was launched into the world in December 2022. This book is another dual-timeline novel, this time set on the Jurassic coast of Dorset, featuring the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning. I loved visiting Lyme Regis for the research for this book, going on one of Paddy Howe’s fossil walks and learning all about the brave and inspiring Mary Anning.
Book number five is a psychological mystery entitled The Girl with Pink Hair and book number six is another historical novel entitled The Witch’s Child. This book will be launched into the world later this year.
