About me

1 (9)

I am a former P/A who gave it all up to write Historical and Dual-timeline novels. I live in Sussex on the edge of the Ashdown Forest with my husband and a cat called Dave. I love writing romance with a mystery at its heart, and weaving secrets of the past with the present. The writing process is a fascinating experience for me. As I create the characters and watch them come alive on the page, I lose myself in their world. These unfolding adventures continue to inspire me in the creative process.

Reading and dabbling in portrait painting are my other passions, with the odd glass of Gin and Tonic thrown in. I also love long walks in the countryside, and singing with my local Rock Choir, not all at the same time of course that would prove tricky. My most favourite authors are Kate Morton and Lucinda Riley, as I love reading dual-timeline books as well as writing them.

My first book,
Bird in a Gilded Cage, is a historical drama set against the backdrop of the Suffragette movement. My second novel The Amethyst Necklace is dual-timeline and set in Brighton during WW2, and was released in December 2020. The sequel to The Amethyst Necklace entitled Scarlett’s Story has just been released. This latest book features Scarlett, a colourful character in The Amethyst Necklace, and is about the courage and bravery of the resistance fighters in France, during WW2.

The Man in the Painting
is coming out soon and is another dual-timeline book, this time  set on the Jurassic coast of Dorset, featuring the famous fossil hunter Mary Anning. I loved visiting Lyme Regis for the research for this book, going on one of Paddy Howe’s fossil walks and learning all about the brave and inspiring Mary Anning.

If you’d like to be kept informed about the release of my books, feel free to follow me on my
